Another contender for PayPal arises as Mezu, a new private payment app has tapped into the unique and uncharted territory of video conferencing in payment platforms, the likes of which very similar to Zoom chat. Recent studies have shown us that streaming shows aren’t the only things getting a boost because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the video chatting industry has boomed as well due to obvious reasons. Will digital payments be next?
At Mezu, the private payment app which launched in 2017 has gotten many users hooked since then and due to the current state of the world where everyone’s sheltering safe at home, their app has garnered anew following with 60% increase in downloads, apparently on track to hit a million users by the end of the current quarter.
We’ve mentioned Zoom Video Communications earlier as Mezu is likening itself to the said video conference platform getting hugely popular in use due to all of the lockdowns caused by the pandemic. It’s a respectable attempt at trying to stand out from rival payment apps with its ease-of-use, instant withdrawals and eliminated all fees whatsoever for sending and receiving money, making it very similar but greatly different from the likes of PayPal with these said benefits.
